Yves Saint Laurent
Yves Saint LaurentYves Saint Laurent was a European fashion designer born on August 01, 1936 at Oran city, in Algeria. When he was a teenager, he left for Paris to build a career in fashion industry. Luckily, he got a chance to work with imaginative fashion designer Christian Dior and gained praise for his artistic dress designs. It is assumed that he was strongly motivated by Dior’s thoughts and philosophy. Later that was reflected in his creations. Yves was one of the most prominent fashion designers in France. In 1966, he launched his individual fashion labels by using his first character of the name as signature YSL, where his adaptations of tuxedos for women garnered him fame. He was the first living designer to receive a solo exhibition at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1983. In 2007, French President admired him by giving the rank of Grand Officer “de la Légion d’honneur.” Though he got success in his profession but he was addicted to drugs frequently. Mid of 2008, Saint Laurent died of brain cancer at his residence in Paris.
Marc Jacobs

He was admired three of the schools the highest honors – Design Student of the Year, the Perry Ellis Gold Thimble Award and the Chester Weinberg Gold Thimble Award in his final year. In 1987, he became the youngest designer ever to receive the CFDA’s Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent.
Donna Karan

Donna Karan has left a lasting impact on the world of clothing, bringing uptown New York chic into the mainstream. Donna Karan achieved distinguished COTY award two times during her lifetime for her unique creations. In 2003, Karan was the first American who received “Superstar Award” from Fashion Group International’s. She also received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in the same year. She was an impressive person for teenagers especially who wish to build a career in fashion industry.
Pierre Cardin
Pierre CardinPierre Cardin was born on 2 July 1922, at San Biagio di Callalta near Treviso in Italy. Later on, his family moved to French to change destiny. He was well known for his tremendous haute couture geometric avant-garde designs. He was famous for his bubble dresses internationally, and many people still like the design: a loose-fitting dress is tightened near the waistline, broadens and then is brought back in at the hem, creating a “bubble” effect. He believed that a quiet reflection marks the finale of the bountiful day. In 1974, Cardin was awarded the EUR Award. In 1977, he also achieved the Golden Thimble of French Haute-Couture Award and won the award two more times. Dolce & Gabbana

The company was started by Italian designers Domenico Dolce born on 13 August 1958 in Polizzi Generosa, Sicily and Stefano Gabbana born on 14 November 1962 in Milan. Dolce achieved designing skill and tailoring experience in his parent’s businesses at the age of six and later on studied fashion design in Sicily. But Gabbana studied graphic design and gained some work experience in fashion after being hired by Dolce. Dolce inspires Gabbana to improve his latent talent. In 1985, they launched their individual brand by using their first character of the name as signature D&G, Now, they have considered Hollywood’s number one choice of designer. Till now both designers are providing tremendous haute couture to their consumers. D&G began achieving long awaited awards in the 1990s and later on in 1991; they were awarded the ‘Woolmark Award’ and ‘Best Fragrance of the Year’ in 1993.

Smith was admired by Queen Elizabeth and got Knight laureate in 2000 as served nearly three decades in the fashion industry. He studied interior architecture at Parsons School of Design until 1986 to be an actor, but fate drove him legendary fashion designer. He believed that marvelous culture embodies the story of an iconic heritage. Tom Ford has won the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Menswear Designer of the Year award in 2008.

Calvin Klein

To be a fashion designer, he got admitted to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York from 1959-62 and later gained some work experience in fashion after being worked with Dan Millstein as an assistant for two years, before expressing himself as a self-governing designer. In 1968, Calvin Klein launched his individual fashion labels; Calvin Klein Inc. associated with a friend Barry Schwartz and used his first character of the name as signature CK. In 1970, Klein won distinguished COTY award for womens wear. He believed that passion for fashion would lead one’s life standard. Calvin Klein got fame for his straightforward and elegant designs though his sportswear line became popular, he was well-known for suits and coats designer.
Christian Dior
Christian DiorChristian Dior was an evergreen legendary fashion designer who born on January of 1905 at Granville, a seaside town on the coast of Normandy, French. Dior’s father wished, he would become an ambassador, but he wanted to engage himself with art & culture. He had a great passion for working with celebrities. At last, his family agreed to let him chase the dream. Dior finished his school life early and opened a tiny art gallery with the help of his family. But during the Great Depression, Dior’s family lost their business. So, Dior’s had to be worked with another fashion designer Robert Piguet and some other fashion house as an assistant. He was a master of creating shapes and silhouettes. He believed that festive colors capture the hope for a new start. He has to join in the military during the second world war. Later on, Dior launched his fashion house and his distinctive “New Look” line first shown in 1947; got much praise for his suits and women dresses collection. Christian Dior died at his home, Hastings on October 23, 1957.
